Ventura Garcés strengthens its area of competition with the arrival of César Giner

Ventura Garcés, which recently opened an office in Madrid together with lawyers Víctor de Cambra and Íñigo Ramilo, has strengthened its area of competition with the arrival of César Giner as Of Counsel.

César joins the firm to support not only this area, but also the areas of unfair competition, industrial and intellectual property, commercial, insolvency and corporate and commercial law.

César Giner is an outstanding lecturer at the University Carlos III of Madrid, where he has been teaching, for more than 20 years, a variety of subjects and master’s degrees, including the Master’s Degree in Business Legal Consultancy and the Specialist Degree in Corporate Law and Control of Legal Risks in Business. Previously, César was Counsel at Andersen Tax & Legal and General Secretary of the Legal Study of the University Carlos III of Madrid.

César has combined his professional career as a professor with that of a writer. “Competition law, electronic commerce and trademarks” (Editorial Tirant Lo Blanch, Valencia, 2014) or “The new Spanish legislation in the face of the evolution of Competition Law” (Editorial Marcial Pons, Madrid, 2010 -of which he is co-author with Luis Berenguer Fuster and Antonio Robles Martín-Laborda) are some of his most outstanding works.

Ventura Garcés thus reinforces its team of competition experts, considering the increase in cases related to economic practices used to gain an unfair advantage over competitors, such as cartels or abuses of dominant position.
